Small Seeds offers a summer camp for African American boys, ages 8-12, who are already enrolled in Small Seeds programming. The BEAM Summer Success Camp develops, nurtures excellence and provides an opportunity for adolescent males to move, study, learn, explore, and have fun. The boys gain resiliency, develop life-long skills, and become more confident in their day to day transitions.

 
 

SCHEDULE AND FEES

The BEAM Summer Success Camp runs from June 18, 2018 to July 20, 2018. Camp runs and operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Cost to participate is $50 per child.

Camp fee includes:

  • 5 weeks of camp (Monday-Thursday, Beginning on Monday, June 18, 2018)
  • Daily snacks and lunch
  • Pick-up and drop-off service to and from your home

CAMP ACTIVITIES

Camp activities include but are not limited to:

  • Swimming, Basketball, Golf, and Kickball
  • Exploratory Learning
  • Field Trips
  • Service & Outdoor Learning
  • Character & Social Development Workshops
  • One-on-one and/or Group Engagement Activities
  • Pirate Games, Movies, Museums & Community Days
  • Reading & Reflective Writing Workshops

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

 
  • Must be currently enrolled or have been enrolled in a Small Seeds program in the last six (6) months 
  • African American boy(s) between the ages of 8 and 12 years old
  • Reside in Allegheny County
